Butterscotch Latte Recipe

Butterscotch Latte

For those mornings when you want to change up the routine coffee, a butterscotch latte is a delicious way to go. Made with only 3 ingredients and is totally customizable. Meaning you can adjust the sweetness and the toppings to give it your own unique touch. Keep scrolling and I’ll show you how to create this fall fave!

How To Make A Butterscotch Latte

For this recipe you will need 4 oz of strong brewed coffee. To it, you will add 2-3 Tbsp of butterscotch sauce, depending on your taste. You can use store-bought sauce, but I find that results are better with a homemade version. Use your favorite butterscotch sauce recipe, or try mine here! Don’t worry if you won’t be using it for other than coffee, it can be stored for up to 8 weeks. That’s a lot of butterscotch lattes!

Next you will heat up ½ cup of milk and then froth it. If you don’t have a milk frother, you can pour the milk into a jar and close it tightly with a lid. Shake it vigorously for about 30-60 seconds. Pour it into the coffee.

Alternately, you can skip the frothing and use whipped cream instead. The final step is optional. I like to drizzle some butterscotch sauce on top. If you’re not a fan of the drizzle, you can add butterscotch chips, crushed butterscotch candy pieces, sprinkle of brown sugar and sea salt, or spices of your choice. Get creative and have fun with it.

Now that the weather has cooled and it’s chilly outside, all I want to do is snuggle up with a good book and sip this latte! Not likely because of mom duties, but a girl can dream. Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy this recipe.
