The peach season brings in so many wonderful recipes. From peach pies, peachy drinks, peach ice cream, and peach salsa! If you have not tried peach salsa, you might be pleasantly surprised by how tasty it is.
How To Make Peach Salsa
This recipe is super easy and can be done in less than 10 minutes! It can also be prepped the day before, or I like to prep it an hour before serving.
Cut the peaches in half, then in quarters, and remove the pit. Dice them into half-inch pieces. Add the peaches to a mixing bowl. Then dice the onion, tomato, and jalapeño. Add them to the bowl.
Mince the cilantro and add it to the bowl. Finally, add the juice of one lime, and salt to taste. Mix all the ingredients well to combine. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Done! Wasn’t that super easy?
Now you just have to give it a quick stir again right before serving. Enjoy!
How To Serve Peach Salsa
This peach salsa is so versatile! It can be served as an appetizer with chips or it can pair perfectly with a variety of dishes. Here are some of my favorite options.
- On top of pan seared fish
- With grilled chicken
- With pork chops or pulled pork tacos
- Rice and black bean bowls
When selecting the peaches, make sure to get yellow peaches. The skin color is a mixture of red and orange, and it is fuzzy. Not to be confused with white peaches or nectarines which have smooth skin.
The easiest way to remove the pit is by cutting the peach into quarters and then pulling it off.
If you like spicy salsa, leave the veins of the jalapeño on. Remove them if you prefer mild.
This salsa will hold up in the refrigerator for 2-3 days if stored in an airtight container and in the back of the fridge. Stir well before serving.
Enjoy the peach season by making as many peach recipes as you can! I know I’ll be making this salsa and peach cobbler on the regular😉.
Till the next one,
